Teen creates app for bullied kids, so that they no longer have to eat alone

It can be hard being alone. Being lonely is slightly similar to being alone but nonetheless painful. And in today’s day and age, it can be very troubling to find yourself alone.

This is a common scenario for young school going kids who often find themselves bereft of the company of their friends when it comes to sharing the pleasure of the simplest of things.

From sharing a good comic, to discussing the ensuing trouble with their homework or even when it comes down to sitting down to have lunch, there’s often no good company available for youngsters at school. And this certainly doesn’t sound too good. But 16 year old Natalie Hampton, who has experienced her fair share of school-time loneliness has come up with a bright solution that’s meant to inspire and entertain the lonely ones at school.

A brand new app, ‘sit with us’ aims to align school-mates or just about any student who is sitting idle and has no friend, to team up, tag along and sit together others to have lunch. In so doing, the app ‘Sit with us’, a free to download ‘lunch-planning’ app ensures that no-one goes sad and hungry for a conversation or for some buddy-bonding when it comes to being in school. Young Natalie confessed that she often felt ostracized by the school bullies and in turn, other students who caused her a great deal of concern. She felt that she was becoming increasingly lonely and had no one to talk to.

And thus, a genuine and personally-experienced concern, produced an exciting and much-needed idea. Ain’t that brilliant?
